Pezon & Michel 400cm Street Fishing Handle Review By Peter Wardle
Just before Lure Anglers Society LureFair 2016 event I asked Martin to bring with him a Pezon & Michel Street fishing handle as it seemed perfect for my requirements.
This handle is compact and is designed with LRF and street fishing in mind for where a long handled net is desired without sacrificing mobility.
My first impression was that it’s heavier than I expected but rather than detract from the product it goes some way of reassuring quality. It extends to 4 metres and packs down to a nice 46 cm into a little bag which sits nicely strapped to the side of my rucksack in transport.
The handle comes with a carry strap although I think most nets would droop towards the floor making carrying it over the shoulder uncomfortable for me but I’m sure if I used a smaller lighter net it wouldn’t be an issue but for now I’ve pared up mine with a 22”Korum snapper folding rubberised net and hung the combo off a magnet on the back of my bag. The net extension operates via a large rubber bung which is dislodged so that sections can extended, I found loosening it before fishing made it easier to do one handed. I bought this for light rock fishing and it is perfect for scooping out those bigger fish from the side of the pier and harbour.
The net has also now become my regular light fishing net for the canals and rivers and now thanks to the option of a longer handle I can fish some of those places I would have walked past previously because I would have struggled to land anything I might have caught such as those high walls on some weir pools.
In conclusion I would recommend this great quality handle and will be enjoying using it for almost all my fishing.
