Independent review of the BFT Vertical Net

April 3, 2016

Review by Essex Lure Angler https://www.facebook.com/essexlureangler/

The BFT Vertical Net is the perfect catch & release landing net.

Before purchasing this net, I had looked at all the rest, ie Savage Gear, Fox Rage to name a couple, and I can honestly say what Martin from Lure Lounge has sent through the post is a beast.
I actually bought this net without even seeing one, apart from a review Paul the River Piker does about it.
Thing is Paul doesn’t rate or review rubbish does he?

In my opinion no other Net out there beats this one for quality of construction, durability and ease of operation in assembling and disassembling.
This net is not built to last you 5 minutes but a lifetime, I can see it taking general bankside abuse and just laughing at you, where other nets would just break.
But hey this is the sort of net that will be used to net predatory fish and possibly be slung about on the side of banks, so it needs to hold up to that fact.

Its made from very heavy duty rubber netting with a fish friendly knot-free design, that will also see you free from getting hook ups from trebles in the net.

It’s a flat bottom net that will keep the fish unharmed and is also really lightweight.
The telescopic shaft and frame made of aluminum and is fully collapsible for easy storage.
Total length with shaft is 110-200cm, which in my opinion is plenty long enough for probably 90% of every ones fishing.
Net size is 70 x 60 x 55cm, which yes looks huge? But is it really that huge when you think a low double pike is around a meter long?
This net is ideal for the roving lure angler and i can also see it picking up a following with roving carp and barbel anglers.

Price is £47.99 plus the postage and packing, and I know some of you will say that’s an expensive net, as it comes in £15 quid or so more than it’s rivals? But is it?
I was always brought up to not buy cheap as you end up buying twice, and I can see this net quite easily lasting 10 years if looked after well. So it’s not as expensive when you look at it that way?
I don’t think anyone buying this net will be disappointed.
You can get them from Martin at https://lurelounge.co.uk/product/bft-vertical-net/
If you are after a new net, you seriously have to consider this one before parting with your hard earn’t cash on a rivil product.
