Well I just might have my mojo back. Since coming back from Holland in March and starting up The Hit and Hope Mini Golf Co I’ve had little time for fishing and to be honest with one exception I’ve struggled and thus lost a little bit of interest. Anyway after been given a lecture yesterday I freed up an hour and half this afternoon to try my had at some wasping. Armed with my Legend Extreme, some light drop shot kit and some Aji Ringer shads I popped down to out local syndicate water. To cut a long story short 90 minutes later I had caught 14 wasps and a 3 silvers, and you know what? I really enjoyed myself.
On a side note what was interesting all the perch were caught when fishing in dark small hole, gapes between boats and the bank – that sort of thing. I fished the hole time with a strawberry Ringer shad cut down slightly. 3 minutes before I was due to finish I lost the last ringer shad but managed to find some Crazy Fish lures in the same colour and size but smelt on aniseed – would you believe it with that simple change, not a touch not one further wasp, just shows how fickle even the smallest fish can be.
